In this manual, we will demonstrate the functionality of the Alerts feature in the Trio Education app. You will learn what alerts are for and how to manage them effectively to make the most of this feature.
Alerts
Alerts are designed to notify school management of significant events or actions. Whenever a notable action occurs, such as a student’s device running low on battery, a notification will be sent to the school panel. These notifications appear on the Alerts section of Trio Education, keeping administrators informed of real-time events and issues.
On the Trio Education panel, you can access the full alerts page by clicking on the Alerts tab. This section provides detailed notifications about school events and activities.
The notifications list includes various columns, each providing specific details:
Device's name
Student
Class
Activity on different rules (Web Filter. Safe Search, and Smart Screen Rules.)
In the Alerts section, some columns feature numbers that indicate the count of events related to each rule.
Users can quickly access detailed alert information by clicking on the bell icon located at the top right of the panel. This provides an overview of recent notifications and allows users to view specific details about each alert.
By clicking on the "Show notifications" button, users can view a full list of notifications. Additionally, by clicking the "Customize alerts" button, users can select the specific items they wish to be notified about.
The Items you can get notifications for include:
Safe Search
Web Filter
Smart Screen
Battery Percentage
Push Notifications
Note that the alerts are based on the school's preset rules and profiles, and the type of notification you receive might change.
