Fencing history

The Fencing history section provides a complete timeline of device movements in and out of geofences. Each entry shows which device triggered a geofence event, the fence involved, and the exact time and location of the activity.

Use this page to monitor geofence activity, analyze movement patterns, and audit compliance across your organization.

Fencing history overview

The Fencing history tab shows all recorded geofence events across all devices and all fences. Each row reflects a single event, including whether the device entered or exited a fence.

What this page includes

  • Fence name

  • Device information

  • Assigned user

  • Triggered event (Enter or Exit)

  • GPS coordinates (Lat, Lon)

  • OS version of the device

  • Timestamp

This centralized list helps you quickly identify device movement across your defined geofencing areas.

Search and filters

You can refine the activity list using multiple filters and search options.

Available filters

  • Search by device name

  • Sort by Name

  • Filter by OS

  • Filter by User

  • Filter by Device group

Use these filters to locate specific events, devices, or fences—especially helpful when managing large fleets.

Event list

Each row in the table represents a location-based trigger.

Each event shows

  • Fence ID/Name – the geofence involved

  • Device – device name and icon

  • User – assigned user

  • Event – “Enter fence” or “Exit fence”

  • Lat, Lon – device’s coordinates when the event occurred

  • OS – operating system and version

This provides a clear and timestamped record of all geofence activity.

When to use fencing history

Use the Fencing history feature when you need to:

  • Audit device movement into or out of restricted zones

  • Verify attendance or presence within work areas

  • Monitor field device activity over time

  • Investigate location-based incidents

  • Understand movement trends across geofenced regions
