Last location and device location

Learn how to view the last location and the device location for the devices.

The Last Location page provides real-time and historical location visibility for enrolled devices. This section allows admins to see where devices were last tracked, view location data on a map, and access location history for individual devices.

Use this page to monitor field devices, track movement across sites, and view device activity in relation to assigned geofences.

Last location overview

The Last location tab displays the most recent location data received from enrolled devices. If a device has never reported its position or has not been assigned a fence, the page will show a placeholder until new data becomes available.

What this page shows

  • Latest latitude and longitude for each device

  • Device name and type

  • Assigned fence (if any)

  • Assigned user

  • Last sync timestamp

  • Device ownership and OS

If location tracking is not available, a status message will indicate whether the module is restricted to Company Owned Devices (COD).

Map view

Selecting Map view displays every device’s last known location on an interactive map. Each device appears as a pinned marker, allowing you to visually understand where your fleet is distributed.

Available options

  • Search for specific devices on the map

  • Toggle between Map and Satellite mode

  • Select any marker to view basic device information

  • Use zoom controls to inspect specific areas

This view helps IT teams quickly confirm device locations, detect anomalies, or verify movement across branches, warehouses, or field regions.

Device list view

The Device list provides a detailed table of device locations and metadata. You can sort and filter devices based on multiple criteria.

What you can filter by

  • Device name

  • OS type

  • Assigned user

  • Assigned fence

  • Device group

  • Last sync time

How to use

  1. Search for a device using the search bar.

  2. Apply filters to narrow down the list.

  3. Select a device row to open its detailed location history.

This view is ideal for large fleets and auditing purposes.

Device location history

Selecting a specific device opens the Device location history page, which displays a chronological timeline of the device’s recorded locations.

What this page shows

  • Device’s name, OS, and assigned user

  • Battery status and Lost Mode indication

  • Last sync timestamp

  • Exact latitude and longitude

  • Timeline of check-ins and check-outs from assigned geofences

  • A map showing the device’s movement across locations

Timeline features

  • Filter by Type or Time stamp

  • View detailed GPS coordinates

  • Identify fence transitions (Check-in / Check-out)

This section helps you analyze device movement patterns, confirm compliance with geofence rules, and investigate lost or misplaced devices.
