Uploading a file in Trio

Learn how to upload files in Trio.

Trio’s File Management module is designed to centralize your organization’s documents in one secure location. Whether you’re storing templates, compliance files, onboarding documents, media assets, or exported reports, the upload experience is built to be simple, guided, and transparent.

Below is an overview of how file uploads work in Trio, what each screen represents, and what to expect during the process—including how Trio handles storage limits.

Starting With an Empty Workspace

When you first open the File Management page, you’re greeted with a clean, empty workspace.
This page shows that no files have been uploaded yet, along with a reminder that any newly added files will automatically appear in the main table.

This screen sets the stage: once your team starts uploading documents, the entire library becomes a shared, searchable repository for the organization.

Opening the Upload Flow

Clicking Upload opens the upload panel, where you can start adding files.
You’ll immediately see your remaining storage limit, which helps teams track how much space is left before hitting capacity.

Trio supports all file types, and each upload can be up to 200 MB per file.
You can drag files directly into the drop zone or select them manually using the Browse option.

Uploading Files in Real Time

As soon as your files are selected, Trio begins processing them immediately.
You’ll see each file appear in a list with:

  • A progress bar

  • The file’s size

  • An option to cancel mid-upload

Completed files show a clear “Completed” status, while still-uploading files continue to update in real time.

This stage makes it easy to upload multiple files at once—documents, videos, images, spreadsheets—without losing track of status or order.

Upload Success and File Management Table

After your uploads finish, the system automatically returns you to the main File Management view.
The uploaded items now appear in a structured table that includes:

  • File name

  • File type (PDF, DOC, Video, CSV, etc.)

  • Who uploaded the file

  • Size

  • Date added

You also receive a confirmation message at the bottom right, ensuring your upload was successful.

This table becomes the central hub for managing documents at scale across your organization.

Storage Limits and Upload Restrictions

Trio helps prevent issues before they happen by tracking available storage.
If your organization reaches the storage limit, the system will prevent new uploads and display a clear warning:

“You’ve reached the storage limit. Please contact Trio’s support team to increase your storage.”

This makes it immediately obvious why uploads are blocked and provides the next steps for resolving the issue.
