Asset Management in Trio
Trio’s Asset Management module provides a centralized, reliable way to track, organize, and manage your organization’s physical assets alongside managed devices. Designed for IT teams that need visibility beyond endpoints, it helps you maintain accurate inventory records, streamline ownership tracking, and reduce asset loss across your organization.
Whether assets are laptops, displays, storage devices, or peripherals, Trio ensures they are recorded, searchable, and auditable from a single interface.
Centralized Asset Inventory
The Asset Management dashboard acts as a single source of truth for all company assets. Once assets are added, they appear in a structured list view with clear identifiers such as Tag ID, category, detection source, vendor ID, and checkout status. This allows IT and operations teams to quickly understand what assets exist, where they came from, and who is currently responsible for them.
When no assets are present, Trio clearly communicates the empty state and guides administrators toward the next step—adding assets via scanning, importing, or manual creation—ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
Flexible Asset Onboarding
Trio supports multiple methods for adding assets, allowing teams to choose what works best for their workflow:
Assets can be added by scanning QR tags using the Trio Asset Scanner app, which is ideal for fast, on-site inventory creation. For larger inventories, assets can be imported in bulk using CSV files. Manual creation is also supported for unique or ad-hoc assets.
Each asset records its detection source (such as Agent, CSV, or Scanning), providing transparency into how it entered the system.

Ownership and Checkout Tracking
Asset Management in Trio is designed to reflect real-world usage. Assets can be checked out to specific users, making it easy to track responsibility and reduce ambiguity around ownership. This is especially useful in environments where assets frequently change hands, such as IT departments, shared workspaces, or distributed teams.
At any time, administrators can see who an asset is assigned to—or identify unassigned assets that may require attention.
Categorization and Filtering
To keep inventories manageable as they grow, Trio allows assets to be categorized (for example, Devices, Displays, Storage, or Audio/Visual equipment). Combined with powerful filtering and sorting options, this makes it easy to locate specific assets, audit categories, or identify trends across vendors and asset types.
Designed to Work With Device Management
While Asset Management operates independently from device enrollment, it complements Trio’s broader device and endpoint management capabilities. This separation ensures flexibility: assets can be tracked regardless of whether they are managed endpoints, while still benefiting from the same centralized visibility and operational consistency.
Built for Scale and Accuracy
As organizations grow, asset tracking often becomes fragmented and unreliable. Trio’s Asset Management module addresses this by combining clarity, automation, and consistency in one platform—helping teams reduce manual effort, prevent inventory gaps, and maintain confidence in their asset data.
With Trio, asset management is no longer an afterthought—it becomes a structured, reliable part of your IT operations.
