Before You Start

The Slack integration in Trio allows administrators to deliver activity alerts, device events, and compliance notifications directly to Slack channels. This enables IT teams to stay informed without leaving their communication environment.

Before starting, confirm that you have administrative permissions in both Trio and Slack, and decide which Slack channel will be used for receiving alerts.

Step 1: Navigate to Slack Integration

  1. Log in to the Trio Admin Console.

  2. Go to Settings → Integrations.

  3. Locate Slack in the list and select Configure.

Expected result: The Slack integration setup page is displayed.

Step 2: Connect Slack Workspace

  1. Select Connect Slack Workspace.

  2. Sign in using your Slack credentials.

  3. Authorize the permissions requested by Trio.

Expected result: The Slack workspace is linked, and the status updates to Connected.

Step 3: Configure Notification Delivery

  1. Choose the event categories you want to forward (e.g., device status alerts, compliance issues, system activity).

  2. Select the Slack channel where the notifications will appear.

  3. Save the configuration.

Expected result: The routing rules are saved, and Trio is ready to forward selected alerts.

Step 4: Verify Integration with Test Notification

  1. Select Send Test Notification.

  2. Check the designated Slack channel for the test message.

Expected result: A test notification is displayed in the selected Slack channel.

Step 5: Save and Activate

  1. Review the configuration settings.

  2. Select Save changes.

  3. Confirm that the Slack integration is shown as Active in the integrations list.

Expected result: The Slack integration is active and ready to send notifications.
