Before You Start
The kiosk details interface provides comprehensive management of your kiosk configurations after creation. You can review settings, edit configurations, monitor AutoPilot assignments, and track device deployment status.
This interface serves as the central hub for ongoing kiosk management. Changes made here affect all devices currently using the kiosk configuration.
Ensure you understand the impact of modifications before making changes to active kiosk deployments.
Step 1: Access Kiosk Details
Navigate to Fleet > Kiosk Mode
Click on the name of your target kiosk configuration
Expected result: Kiosk details page opens with Settings tab active
The interface displays three main tabs: Settings, AutoPilot, and Devices.
Step 2: Review Configuration Settings
Settings Tab Overview
The Settings tab displays your complete kiosk configuration organized by platform:
Platform Configuration Status:
Each configured platform shows with "Configured" status indicator
Unconfigured platforms appear without status labels
Platform-specific kiosk types display with colored icons
Available Kiosk Types by Platform:
Android: Single app, Multi app, Background apps, Digital signage display, Website Kiosk, Peripheral Settings
iOS/iPadOS: Single app, Multi app, Website Kiosk, Autonomous single app
macOS: Single app, Multi app, Background apps, Digital signage display, Website Kiosk, Peripheral Settings, Autonomous single app
Windows: Single app, Multi app, Digital signage display, Website Kiosk
Real-Time Preview
Expected result: Right side displays device mockup showing current configuration
Preview updates reflect active platform and selected application
Device mockup matches target platform (iPhone, iPad, laptop, etc.)
Step 3: Edit Kiosk Configuration
Access Edit Mode
Click Edit button in top-right corner
Expected result: Full editing interface opens with platform tabs and application library
The edit interface matches the original kiosk creation workflow.
Modify Configuration
Select target platform tab to modify
Choose kiosk type from left sidebar
Use application library to update app selections:
Search in apps name field for specific applications
Sort by options: Name, Category, Source
Click applications to update preview
Adjust Icon size of apps in kiosk if applicable
Click Save to apply changes
Troubleshooting this step:
Issue: Changes not reflecting in preview → Solution: Refresh browser or re-select application
Common mistake: Editing wrong platform → Prevention: Verify active platform tab before making changes
Step 4: Monitor AutoPilot Assignments
Access AutoPilot Tab
Click AutoPilot tab
Expected result: Table displays all AutoPilots using this kiosk configuration
AutoPilot Information
The AutoPilot table shows:
Name: AutoPilot identifier
Manager: Assigned administrator with profile avatar
Users: Total number of users in AutoPilot
Devices: Total number of devices in AutoPilot
AutoPilot Management
Search and Filter:
Use Search in autopilot name/manager field
Click Sort by dropdown for Name organization
Apply Manager and Status filters as needed
Pagination:
View results in groups of 25
Navigate between pages using pagination controls
Expected result: "1-25 of 50" format shows current position
Step 5: Track Device Deployment
Access Devices Tab
Click Devices tab
Expected result: Table displays all devices currently using this kiosk
Device Information Display
Each device entry shows:
Name: Device identifier with type icon (laptop, phone, tablet)
Serial Number: Hardware serial number
OS: Operating system and version
Assigned to: User assignment with profile avatar or "Unassigned"
Status: Current kiosk deployment state with color indicators
Device Status Indicators
Status Types:
🟢 Activated: Kiosk actively running on device
🔵 Pending: Device hasn't received kiosk settings (possibly offline)
🔴 Deactivated: Kiosk disabled from device (user-initiated, password protection)
Color-Coded Status:
Green dot: Device online and kiosk functional
Blue dot: Deployment in progress or device offline
Red dot: Kiosk disabled or device issues
Device Filtering and Search
Use search field to find specific devices
Apply filters:
Operating system: Filter by platform
Assigned to: Filter by user assignment
AutoPilot: Filter by AutoPilot membership
Status: Filter by deployment status
Sort by options: Name, Serial Number, OS, Assignment
Expected result: Filtered results update table display

Status Monitoring: Implement regular device status reviews to identify patterns in kiosk deactivation and address user experience issues.
Troubleshooting
Pending Status Persistent:
Symptoms: Devices remain in Pending status for extended periods
Cause: Device offline, network connectivity issues, or enrollment problems
Solution: Verify device connectivity, check enrollment status, restart device if necessary
Unexpected Deactivated Status:
Symptoms: Previously active kiosks show Deactivated status
Cause: User disabled kiosk from device (Android password protection, manual exit)
Solution: Re-enable kiosk from device, review kiosk exit settings, provide user training
AutoPilot Assignment Issues:
Symptoms: Expected devices not receiving kiosk configuration
Cause: Device not member of assigned AutoPilot or conflicting kiosk assignments
Solution: Verify AutoPilot membership, check for multiple kiosk assignments, review device enrollment status
