Notifications

Learn how to manage the notifications settings on Trio.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Notifications panel in Trio allows IT administrators to configure how and where system alerts, user activity, and device-related updates are delivered. These alerts help teams stay informed about key actions and events in real time, supporting proactive system management and escalation workflows.

Categories Available

Trio organizes notifications into the following nine categories, each representing a different area of system operations:

  • Authentication – Covers login, registration, and password-related events.

  • Alert – Relates to system warnings and escalations.

  • Billing – Involves subscription and payment updates.

  • Group – Tracks group creation and management events.

  • User – Focuses on user onboarding, updates, and removals.

  • Device – Monitors enrollment, changes, and compliance actions on devices.

  • Software – Includes software installation and license management notifications.

  • Profile – Reflects changes or actions related to configuration profiles.

  • General – Covers broader system notifications that don't fall into other categories.

How to Manage Notifications

  1. Navigate to Settings > Notifications.

  2. Select any of the category tabs listed above.

  3. In each tab, you’ll see a list of relevant notification types.

  4. Enable or disable In-App Notifications and Email Notifications by checking/unchecking the boxes.

  5. Once you’re done adjusting settings, click “Save changes” to apply the updates.

Why It Matters

Effective notification management is essential for enforcing security, auditing activity, and enabling rapid incident response. Trio's granular control over each category ensures that every team—whether IT, security, or HR—receives only the alerts that matter to them, in the format they prefer.
