Learn how to integrate Trio with your On-prem directories

Updated over 2 months ago

On-premises Active Directory (AD) is a directory service provided by Microsoft, used to manage and authenticate users, computers, and other resources within a network environment. It stores information about these objects and enables administrators to set and enforce security policies, deploy software, and manage access to network resources centrally. On-premises AD is typically deployed within an organization's data centers, offering robust identity and access management capabilities.

Trio Integrates with On-prem Directories

Some organizations are still using traditional on-premises directories. They might want to keep it that way for a while, and they will need a platform that can help the integration on-prem.

Trio has been developed for all sources of IT needs, which is why it offers simple facilities to integrate with these IT environments.

To integrate Trio with your On-prem directories, you need to follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the integrations tab, and among the integrative platforms, select your preferred on-prem AD.

  2. To get Trio integrated with the On-prem AD, you will need to install a Trio Agent on a Windows server. You will get a download link which you're going to need to get the agent, and then, there is a pairing code you'll need to use after installing the agent.

  3. After getting the agent paired on the Windows server and the Trio panel, it will take a few moments to get the platforms connected.

  4. After connecting the Directory to the Trio panel with the agent, the list of the users will sync with the panel and admins can manage their data within the centralized panel easily.

Integrating Trio with traditional ADs helps organizations keep their data where they need it, and they can manage the data in an On-prem environment. Cloud migration could be a bit challenging since it isn't yet fully distributed in the world. That's why Trio has made it easy for the companies to transfer and handle the user information.
