The Users Dashboard under the Directory module provides administrators with a comprehensive interface to view, manage, and maintain user accounts across the organization. This section supports both high-level monitoring and granular control over individual user records.

Overview and Navigation

  • Breadcrumb Path:
    Displayed at the top as Dashboard > Directory > Users This helps users understand their current location within the platform.

  • Search Bar:
    Allows real-time filtering by name, display name, or email. This is ideal for locating specific users quickly in large directories.

  • Filter and Sort Options:
    Located above the table, these include:

    • Sort by Name (default: ascending or descending)

    • User State: Filter users based on lifecycle status (Active, Staged, Suspended, Deleted)

    • Users Group: Narrow the list by assigned user groups

    • Password Status: Filter users based on whether passwords are Set, Not Set, or Expired

  • Actions Button:
    Provides options for bulk operations or directory-wide administrative tasks.

  • Add Button:
    Used to onboard users via:

    • Manual entry

    • CSV import

    • Google Workspace or Microsoft Entra ID sync (when available)


User Table Fields and Definitions

Column

Description

Name

The user's full name with profile picture or avatar. Helps visually distinguish users.

Display Name

A secondary identifier (often a username or nickname). Used for personalization or custom naming schemes.

Email

Primary contact and login credentials. Better be unique per user.

User State

Shows lifecycle status:
🟢 Active: Fully onboarded and operational.
🟡 Staged: Created but not yet completed onboarding.
🔴 Suspended: Temporarily blocked from accessing the system.
Deleted: No longer part of the system but retained for audit.

Users Group

Lists the user’s assigned group(s). Useful for policy and profile assignment. If multiple groups exist, an +N indicator appears. Hover or click to see the full list.

Password Status

Indicates whether the user’s password is:
Set
⚠️ Not Set (staged users)
Expired (requires reset or enforced update)


This dashboard empowers IT admins to manage users effectively at scale, with visibility into account health, compliance status, and organizational structure.
