Export Reports

Learn how to export reports in Trio.

Exporting reports in Trio allows administrators to extract structured data for further analysis, auditing, or compliance purposes. Reports can be run instantly or scheduled for recurring exports, and they provide flexible column selection, filtering options, and multiple output formats to meet organizational needs.

1. Accessing Reports

Navigate to Activity → Reports in the left sidebar.
You can choose from different report categories such as:

  • Directory

  • Device Fleet

  • Autopilot

  • Device Security

  • User Security

  • Service

  • Integration

Each category offers built-in reports, including Device Inventory Report, Policy Deployment Summary, Software Deployment Compliance, Kiosk Mode Enforcement Report, and Command Execution Summary.

2. Running a Report

When you select Run Report, a configuration modal opens with two options:

  • Immediate Report – generates data instantly and makes it available for download in CSV/XLSX format.

  • Scheduled Report – sets up automated recurring exports (daily, weekly, or custom frequency).

You can configure:

  • Columns selected – choose which data fields to include.

  • Filters – apply constraints such as category, frequency, or device type.

  • File format – download as CSV or XLSX.

3. Scheduling Reports

For recurring insights, use the Scheduled Report option.
You can define:

  • Frequency – daily, weekly, every 2 days, etc.

  • Start date/time – when scheduling should begin.

  • Format – CSV or XLSX, available in the Stored Reports tab.

Administrators can manage scheduled reports from the Scheduled Reports tab, where details such as last run, date created, category, and creator are visible.

4. Column Selection

The Select Columns interface allows you to customize the dataset by enabling or disabling attributes. Examples include:

  • Device Name

  • Group

  • Device Count

  • Device Platform

  • Device Status

  • Job Titles

This flexibility ensures exports contain only the information relevant to your needs.

You can also see the filters applied in the report before confirming.

5. Stored Reports

Once generated, reports are available in the Stored Reports tab.
From here, you can:

  • Download completed reports.

  • Track previous report runs.

  • Manage recurring schedules.

Reports are also delivered via email with a download link for convenience.

6. Practical Use Cases

Exported reports support multiple IT and compliance operations:

  • Inventory management – full device lists with ownership and status.

  • Policy enforcement – evidence of which profiles and security controls are applied.

  • Compliance tracking – proof of encryption, kiosk enforcement, or software deployment.

  • Command auditing – log of actions executed via the Command Center.

✅ With Export Reports, Trio provides IT teams with complete visibility and control over organizational data, while giving flexibility to automate reporting for operational efficiency.
