The Activity module in Trio provides a unified audit trail across user actions, administrative events, integrations, and device-level operations. This module is divided into two views: Event Logs and Device Logs, each serving a distinct purpose in operational monitoring and security auditing.
Event Logs
The Event Logs tab tracks all administrative and system-level activities occurring within the platform. It records actions such as user onboarding, user edits, group creation, and integration changes.
Key Columns:
Name: The type of action performed (e.g., User Onboard, User Edit, Connect, Disconnect)
Category: Logical grouping of the action (e.g., User, Integration, Group)
Admin: The administrator who performed the action
Admin Role: Role of the admin at the time of action (typically Owner)
Description: A brief explanation of the activity
Date & Time: Timestamp of when the action occurred
Capabilities:
Search Bar: Quickly filter log entries by keywords in the Description field
Filters: Apply advanced filtering based on admin name, category, or time range
Add Columns: Hover between the table headers to expose the β+β button. This allows customization of visible attributes. Users can add or remove columns based on available data fields
Pagination: View logs in sets of 25 with navigation controls at the bottom
This tab is essential for security audits, change tracking, and accountability in user and system administration workflows.
Device Logs
The Device Logs tab offers a filtered view focused solely on device enrollment events. It ensures traceability and validation of device provisioning activities.
Key Columns:
Name: Indicates the action, typically Enrolled
Category: Always labeled Enrollment for device logs
Device: The identifier or hostname of the enrolled device
Level: Indicates the severity or type of log entry (e.g., Info)
Date & Time: When the enrollment occurred
Description: Message specifying the nature of the enrollment event
Capabilities:
Search Bar: Search logs by enrollment details
Filters: Use the filter button to narrow results by device name or date
Sort by Date & Time: Toggle ascending/descending order
Row Expansion: Use the arrow at the end of each row to access full details
Add Columns: Just like in Event Logs, column configuration is accessible via the "+" button when hovering over the header
Device Logs provide transparency in enrollment workflows and are crucial for detecting unauthorized registrations, resolving provisioning failures, and maintaining an accurate device inventory.
Why It Matters
The Activity module is foundational for operational integrity in Trio. It allows administrators to review historical events, correlate issues, ensure policy adherence, and comply with audit requirements. Whether tracking user administration or device-level provisioning, this module serves as a single point of reference for all security-relevant actions across the platform.
