The Device Logs tab in Trio tracks enrollment-specific events related to endpoint devices. This log provides visibility into when and how devices are onboarded into the system, serving as a diagnostic layer for enrollment verification and compliance auditing.
Accessing Device Logs
Navigate to Activity > Device logs to view a table of all device-level activity related to enrollment events. This interface complements the Event Logs view by focusing specifically on device onboarding.
Log Attributes
Each row in the table provides metadata about a recorded enrollment action:
Name: Type of action performed (e.g., Enrolled)
Category: Classification, always labeled as Enrollment in this context
Device: Hostname or identifier of the device (e.g., “Michael”, “DESKTOP-BRNAJNR”)
Level: Severity or type of log entry (e.g., Info)
Date & Time: Exact timestamp of the enrollment event
Description: Message detailing the nature of the event (e.g., “Device has been enrolled via…”)
You can click the → arrow on each row to expand or view full details of the enrollment record.
Customizing Columns
Hovering over the table header reveals the Add Column (+) button. Use this to:
Toggle additional columns or metadata attributes.
Search for specific fields to display.
Reset the view to default if needed.
Filters and Sorting
Use the Filters button to refine logs based on device name, time range, or category.
Use the Sort by: Date & Time dropdown to reorder entries chronologically or reverse chronologically.
Importance
Device logs are essential for:
Verifying that enrollment actions were successfully processed
Detecting duplicate or unauthorized enrollments
Ensuring proper device identification and timestamp accuracy for compliance auditing
Supporting troubleshooting during initial setup or when resolving provisioning issues
This section is particularly useful for IT admins who manage high-volume device onboarding or enforce enrollment-based security policies.
