If you no longer want Trio to manage a Mac device, you can unenroll it directly from the Devices section. Unenrolling will remove the device from management, revoke policies, and stop all future monitoring and control. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Prerequisites
You must be an admin or have appropriate permissions to manage devices.
The Mac must already be enrolled in Trio.
You’ll need to know the device name for confirmation (e.g., "Michael").
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Navigate to the Devices Section
From your Trio dashboard:
Go to Devices on the left-hand sidebar.
Ensure you're on the Device List tab.
Locate the Mac you want to unenroll. Use the search bar or filter by Mac.
Step 2: Select the Target Mac Device
Click the name of the device (e.g., Michael) to open the Device Information page.
Step 3: Open Device Actions
Click the Actions dropdown (top right).
Select Unenroll from the list of available actions.
Step 4: Confirm the Unenrollment
A confirmation dialog will appear. To proceed:
Enter the device name (e.g.,
Michael
) into the text box.Click the red Unenroll button.
Step 5: Verify Success
Once confirmed, Trio will begin the unenrollment process. A success message will appear, and the device will be removed from the list within a few minutes.
Note: The unenrollment process may take up to 5 minutes to fully take effect.
What Happens After Unenrollment?
The Mac will no longer receive policies, configurations, or software updates from Trio.
Remote actions (lock, wipe, reboot) will no longer be available.
The device's entry is removed from the active Devices list.
