Learn how to enroll Windows devices in Trio using pairing codes (MDM method).

Updated over a month ago

Prerequisites

  • Required permissions: Device enrollment access

  • Minimum Trio version: Current web interface

  • Supported devices: Windows 7 and above

  • Time estimate: 5-10 minutes

  • Additional requirements: Active pairing code, company name as configured in Trio

Before You Start

Use pairing code enrollment when deploying devices to end users or when you prefer not to use admin credentials directly on the device. This method allows automatic assignment to specific departments when the pairing code is configured accordingly.

The enrollment process installs the Trio agent and establishes management connection. The initial system check verifies no conflicting MDM solutions are present.

Have your pairing code and exact company name ready before starting the installation.

Step 1: Download the Trio Agent

  1. Navigate to Devices > Enroll new device > Windows

  2. Click Windows Agent to download the installer directly

  3. Expected result: Agent installer downloads to your device
