The OS Patch Detail view in Trio provides full visibility into vulnerabilities (CVEs), affected devices, and audit logs for any system-level update. This ensures IT admins can evaluate risk, track patch deployment, and maintain compliance across endpoints.
Where to Find It
Navigate to Patch Management > OS Patch > Click on a listed OS update (e.g., Sequoia v14.125.1).
Tabs Overview
1. Affected Devices
View all devices impacted by the OS vulnerability or update:
Device name & serial number
Assigned user and group
Patch status:
Open
: Patch pendingPatching
: Installation in progressClosed

: Patch attempt failed
You can also filter and sort devices, or use Patch Selected to apply the patch to specific targets.
2. CVEs Tab
View a detailed list of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures related to the OS version:
CVE ID (clickable for details)
Published date
Severity levels: Critical, High, Medium, Low, Unknown
Use this tab to prioritize patch actions based on threat severity.
3. Event Log
Audit every action taken related to the patch deployment:
Event type (e.g., Login, Certificate Renewed, Profile Changed)
Admin involved and their role
Timestamp
Description (if available)
This tab helps verify who took what action, and when—critical for security audits.
Quick Actions
Patch Now: Instantly trigger patch deployment to all affected devices.
Patch Selected: Select specific devices to patch manually.
Filter & Sort: Narrow down results by severity, date, user, or device.
Best Practices
Start patching devices with critical CVEs first.
Monitor the Event Log to confirm successful activity and detect delays or issues.
Re-patch or investigate any device with a Failed status.
Use filters to segment deployment by user group or device type for phased rollouts.
