This manual explains how to interpret the Device Information view for iPads running iPadOS 17 and newer within the Trio MDM platform. It enables administrators to assess compliance, monitor hardware, and maintain connectivity at scale.


๐Ÿงญ Accessing the Device Information Panel

  1. Navigate to Devices from the main menu.

  2. Select a device listed with Model: iPad (e.g., "Marenโ€™s iPad").

  3. Open the Device Information tab to view all associated data.

  • User: Currently assigned user (can be changed).

  • User Group: Logical user category (e.g., Design Heros).

  • Blueprint: MDM configuration/policy assigned.

  • Supervised: Indicates if device is Apple-supervised.

  • DEP Assigned: Whether enrolled through Appleโ€™s Device Enrollment Program.

  • Device Name: Custom name set for the iPad.

  • Name: iPadOS.

  • Version: OS version (e.g., 16.2.2).

  • Build: OS build number (e.g., 22A400).

  • Device Manufacturer: Apple.

  • Update: Manually check for new software versions.

  • Update Status: Availability of system updates.

  • Latest Version: Most recent version supported.

  • Release Date: Date the current OS version was released.

  • Last Updated: Timestamp for the last system update.

  • Type: MDM (Mobile Device Management).

  • Method: Manual Enroll.

  • Managed: Whether the device is under active MDM.

  • Device Ownership: BYOD or Company Owned.

  • First / Last Enrollment: Dates showing the device lifecycle.

  • Last User: Last known user associated with the device.

  • Agent Type: Trio MDM.

  • Agent Installed: Indicates if MDM agent is installed.

  • Sync Status: Shows current MDM sync state.

  • Connection Method: e.g., APNs (Apple Push Notification Service).

  • Install Date: Date agent was installed.

  • Agent App Installed: Indicates whether the Trio agent app is present.

  • Last Check-in: Last time device checked into the MDM server.

  • Agent Version: Installed agent version.

  • Model Name: e.g., iPad Pro 11-inch 2022.

  • Processor Name: e.g., A17 Pro.

  • Memory: e.g., 6 GB.

  • Storage Usage: Storage used and total available.

  • Serial Number: Unique Apple serial.

  • Device Group: Assigned administrative group.

  • Hardware UUID: Unique identifier used by MDM.

  • Wi-Fi MAC Address / Bluetooth MAC: Network interface identifiers.

  • eSIM Installed: Indicates if an eSIM is configured.

  • Battery Level: Current battery percentage (e.g., 82%).

  • Total Controls: Compliance status based on security benchmarks (e.g., 96%).

  • Certificate: Validity of device certificate.

  • Security Actions:

    • Remediate: Attempt automatic policy enforcement.

    • Exclude this device: Temporarily remove device from enforcement.

  • Alerts in 7 Days: Number of triggered alerts.

  • CVEs Found: Vulnerabilities discovered.

  • Jailbreak Status: Checks if the device is jailbroken.

  • Activation Lock: Indicates if Apple Activation Lock is enabled.

  • Passcode / Screen Lock / Secure Boot: Device security status.

  • Update Apps in 7 Days: Pending app updates.

Wi-Fi

  • Local Host Name: Hostname assigned by the system.

  • IP Assign Mode: DHCP (dynamic IP assignment).

  • MAC Address / IP / Subnet / Gateway: Network details.

  • Primary / Secondary DNS: DNS server addresses.

  • SSID: Connected Wi-Fi network (e.g., Trio_Office).

  • Encryption: WPA2-Personal.

  • Connected: Wi-Fi connectivity status.

  • Private MAC: Status of MAC address randomization.

Ethernet

  • IP Assign Mode: e.g., Manual.

  • MAC Address / IP / Subnet / Gateway: Ethernet interface information.

  • DNS: Ethernet DNS configuration.

  • Connected: Confirms wired connectivity status.

Cellular

  • Network Type: e.g., LTE/5G.

  • Carrier Name: Cellular provider (e.g., MTN Irancell).

  • IP / Gateway / DNS: Mobile network info.

  • VPN Active: If VPN is active over mobile network.

  • Connected: Indicates if the device has a working cellular connection.

  • Protocol: Type of proxy (e.g., HTTPS).

  • Server: Proxy server address (e.g., proxy.trio.so).

  • Port: Port used (e.g., 8080).

  • Authentication: Status of login protection.

  • Status: Current connection to the global proxy.
