Logging in to Trio

Learn how to log into Trio with MFA activated.

Prerequisites

  • Required permissions: A valid Trio admin or user account.

  • Supported platforms: Web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

  • Device type: Desktop or laptop recommended for best experience.

  • Additional requirements:

    • Access to your company-specific Trio domain

    • Your account email and password

    • MFA/Passkey device if authentication is enabled

Before You Start

Trio uses company-specific domains and secure authentication to ensure your dashboard remains protected. Before signing in, confirm that you know your organization’s Trio URL and have access to any verification methods your admin has enabled (MFA or passkeys).

If you are logging in for the first time, you may need to create your admin domain or complete the “Get Started” setup flow.

Step 1: Visit Trio’s Login Page

  1. Open your browser and go to https://www.trio.so.

  2. Click Log in in the top-right corner.

Expected result: You land on the login portal that lets you choose between School and Business accounts.

Step 2: Select Your Environment

  1. Choose School or Business, depending on your organization.

  2. Click Login to School or Login to Business.

Step 3: Enter Your Company Domain

  1. In the domain login window, enter your organization’s company name.

  2. Select your region from the dropdown (e.g., .eu, .us).

  3. The system forms your full domain: company.region.trio.so.

  4. Click Log in.

Step 4: Enter Your Email and Password

  1. Confirm that the domain displayed (e.g., mycompany.us.trio.so) is correct.

  2. Enter your email address.

  3. Enter your password.

  4. (Optional) Select Remember me.

  5. Click Continue.

Step 5: Complete Authentication (MFA or Passkey)

Depending on your organization’s security setup:

Option A — Verification Code (MFA)

  1. Open your authenticator app.

  2. Enter the 6-digit code.

  3. (Optional) Select Remember this device for 30 days.

  4. Click Continue.

Option B — Sign in with Passkey

Next Steps

Once logged in, you can:

  • Manage your devices

  • Configure policies

  • Monitor security status

  • Access services such as Asset Management, File Management, and more

Troubleshooting

Incorrect domain

  • Issue: The domain you entered doesn’t match your organization.

  • Solution: Confirm the exact domain with your admin or check your welcome email.

Invalid login credentials

  • Issue: Wrong email or password.

  • Solution: Use the Forgot password link to reset your credentials.

Didn’t receive verification code

  • Possible causes:

    • Authenticator app not synced

    • Phone time incorrect

  • Solution:

    • Sync your authenticator app time settings

    • Try Try another method if enabled

Passkey not recognized

  • Ensure that your browser supports passkeys and your device biometrics are enabled.

Access blocked

  • Your admin may have disabled or limited your login. Contact your organization’s IT administrator.
