The Inventory page under the Devices section in Trio gives IT administrators a real-time overview of all enrolled devices within their organization. From here, you can monitor device activity, assign devices to users and groups, and view enrollment details, ensuring centralized visibility and full control over your endpoint environment.

This page serves as a critical hub for tracking device compliance, status, and ownership, whether you're managing a fleet of Android phones, iPads, Macs, or Windows devices.


๐Ÿ” Overview of the Device Inventory Table

Each enrolled device is listed with the following key details:

  • Name โ€“ The name or identifier of the device

  • Serial Number โ€“ Unique identifier for hardware verification

  • Assigned To โ€“ The user associated with the device (can be assigned manually)

  • Groups โ€“ The group or department the device belongs to (e.g., IT Team, NovaSoft)

  • Last Seen โ€“ Shows the last time the device checked in (e.g., Online)

  • Enrollment Type โ€“ Indicates whether the device was enrolled via MDM or Agent

  • More Options (โ‹ฎ) โ€“ Access additional actions and settings for each device

You can filter devices by platform (Android, iPhone, iPad, Mac, Windows) or view all at once.


Manual: How to Use the Device Inventory Page

1. Assign a Device to a User

  • Click "Assign to user" next to the device under the Assigned To column.

  • Search or select the appropriate user from your directory.

  • Confirm the assignment to associate the device with the user.

2. Assign a Device to a Group

  • Under the Groups column, click "Assign" to select an existing group.

  • Choose the relevant department or policy group (e.g., IT, HR).

  • The device will automatically inherit group-based policies and profiles.

3. Add a New Device

  • Click the + Add New Device button at the top right.

  • Choose your enrollment method (e.g., QR code, URL, or DEP/VPP integration).

  • Follow the prompts to complete the enrollment.

4. Sync Devices

  • Click the Sync button to refresh the list and update statuses.

  • Useful after assigning new users, changing groups, or pushing policies.

5. Filter Devices

  • Use the Filters button to sort by platform, group, compliance status, and more.
